Hip-Hop alternative act Kid Cudi has parted ways with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music imprint. ‘Cudi made this revelation last night during a radio interview. “Everything is peace with everyone on the label, but … I’m no longer on G.O.O.D. Music. And this is something that no one knows really.”
Kid Cudi said he and Kanye spoke about him leaving and the famed rapper/producer was cool with him exiting the label. “Me and Kanye were talking on the phone the other day, and these are things I wanted to talk to him about. About me wanting to start my own direction, and he got it because he’s trying to start his new path, and trying new things as an artist. And he was just like, ‘Man, I feel you. It’s cool.’”
He also dispelled any notion of beef or bad blood between him and Kanye and G.O.O.D Music in general. “This is just from a business standpoint. There’s no beef, there’s no problems with anyone on the label. It’s all love. It’s not a bad thing. It just means that little baby with that dress on ain’t gonna be on my album sleeve.”
Kid Cudi has released three albums under G.O.O.D Music- Man on the Moon: The End of Day (2009)
Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager (2010), and WZRD (2012).
